Korea Toray Science Foundation held the ceremony for 'giving certificates of scholarship to the first Toray Korea outstanding science and engineering college students' at the Federation of Korean Industries Head Office Building in Seoul on October 31.

Toray Korea Scholarship provides support for the outstanding students, recommended by universities around the country, to encourage outstanding science and engineering college students to study hard and foster next-generation manpower. The selected outstanding students were recommended by universities around the country. Up to KRW3 million will be given in scholarships to 15 scholarship students.

“I expect that the students will grow into next-generation students who will enhance the status of science and technology in Korea by devoting themselves to studies,” said Heo Heon-sik, team manager of the Secretariat of the foundation. “Korea Toray Science Foundation will make continued efforts to support professional and innovative manpower who will lead the future.”

Scholarship students said they were very proud that they were selected as the first scholarship students of Korea Toray Science Foundation, and they would transform themselves into manpower that will lead the development of science in Korea.

More than 30 people, including the scholarship students and employees of Toray Advanced Materials and Toray Chemical Korea, attended the ceremony, and certificates of scholarship and souvenirs were given to the scholarship students.
