TAK supplies color spunbond nonwoven for health masks for the first time in Korea

2021. 06. 09

Toray Advanced Materials Korea(TAK) developed the first spunbond nonwoven for health masks in pink and beige for the first time in Korea and applied it to both KF-94, 80 and smear blocking masks, allowing consumers to choose more diverse colors of masks.

The newly developed color spunbond nonwoven utilizes stable and excellent spinning technology from TAK that use harmless pigments to implement colors, and passed the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's enhanced safety standards for each color.

As the number of mask choices has expanded from achromatic colors such as white and black to various colors, it is evaluated that it will be able to change the atmosphere while maintaining hygiene and safety by directing it according to consumers' individuality and fashion.

TAK is expected to continue to introduce more colorful colors such as yellow, ivory, and green in the future, and to promote high spunbond nonwoven material technology by contributing to overseas exports by expanding supply following domestic launch.

In addition, TAK will continue to make efforts to increase hygiene and convenience by improving the lint problem inside the mask to provide spunbond nonwoven that feels good and minimizes irritation.
