President Jeon Hae-sang was invited to the carbon industry policy forum hosted by Gyeongbuk-do and the Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency on June 8th at the IT Medical Convergence Technology Center in Geumo Techno Valley, Gumi, Gyeongbuk-do.

At the forum, where political and business figures gathered to discuss ways to promote the carbon industry and link it with local industries in Gyeongbuk-do, President Jeon drew attention by announcing his opinion on the theme of "Role and Plan of Material Companies to Promote the Carbon Industry.

President Jeon first explained the current status of Korea's carbon industry and the characteristics of Gyeongbuk-do, and argued that the carbon material parts business, unlike other material parts industries, should be supported by shared growth of related industries.

Also, he said that Toray Advanced Materials Korea(TAK) emphasized that it is a material company represented by carbon fiber, and that it already has a system to reliably supply more than 70% of Korea's carbon fiber usage. However, he said that the carbon parts industry can develop only when the intermediate goods industry and parts molding processing industry develop together.

Finally, he announced that TAK will continue to support and invest in related industries to develop the carbon industry along with related industries, universities, and institutes in the region to stably supply carbon fiber not only in auto parts but also in renewable energy.
