Chairman Lee gives a lecture at the SETO Forum

Chairman Lee Young-kwan gave a special lecture at the Korea Toray R&D Center on Toray Group and Korea-Japan relationship in business at the "Seoul-Tokyo Forum," an expert exchange group between Korea and Japan, on October 7th.

In a special lecture attended online and offline by more than 40 forum members, Chairman Lee gave a lecture on the innovation of Toray Group, the success factors of Toray Advanced Materials Korea(TAK), the necessity and establishment of Korea-Japan economic cooperation.

Introducing Toray Group first, Chairman Lee mentioned extreme pursuit, autonomy and creativity, constant challenges and tenacity, and the promotion of convergence research as factors that enabled Toray Group to become a global leading group.

It also explained that the success of TAK was based on close cooperation with Toray Group, TAK’s core competitiveness, continuous change and innovation, and stable labor-management relations.

He then said that economic cooperation between Korea and Japan is essential, and that future-oriented Korea-Japan relations should be established in search of common strategic interests. In addition, he stressed that the success of Korea-Japan companies requires Win-Win's labor-management culture, communication activation, sympathy with customers, and continuous social contribution.

Participants who listened to the lecture responded greatly by asking questions about Toray Group's innovative DNA, business and products of TAK, and issues related to the management of Korea- Japan companies.
