President's Commendation at the 34th Textile Day Ceremony
Toray Advanced Materials Korea Inc., won the presidential commendation at the 34th Textile Day ceremony held at the Textile Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul on 11th of November.
More than 50 key figures from the textile fashion industry, including Vice Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Park Jin-kyu, were present at the event, and a total of 56 pieces were awarded to those who contributed to the development of the textile fashion industry, including the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Merit, the Presidential Commendation, the Prime Minister's Commendation, and the Minister's Commendation.
Toray Advanced Materials Korea Inc., was honored with the presidential commendation in recognition of its contribution to stabilizing the supply and demand of masks for public safety and K-defense in response to the COVID-19. In addition, Cho Yong-gu, who is responsible for the textile marketing team of Toray Advanced Materials, was selected as an excellent employee in recognition of his achievements in improving global competitiveness by expanding the use of products and developing localized products, and won the commendation of the president of the Textile Industries Association.
Jeon Hae-sang, CEO of Toray Advanced Materials Korea Inc., who attended the awards ceremony, said, "We will make more efforts for the win-win development of the company and the textile industry with today's award."
Meanwhile, Textile Day was established on November 11, 1987 to commemorate the achievement of $10 billion in textile exports for the first time in a single industry in Korea, and has held annual events to honor the efforts of textile fashion people who have contributed to the sustainable development of the domestic textile industry.
