Special Session Presentation of Toray Polymer Award Winners
A special session of the Toray Polymer Award, attended by the winners of the Toray Polymer Award, was held on April 6 at the Spring Conference of the Korean Society of Polymers held at the Daejeon Convention Center.
Last year's winner, Sungkyunkwan University Professor Young-gwan Lee gave a presentation on polymer materials for secondary battery binders, followed by research presentations on next-generation battery binders by Seoul National University professor Jang-wook Choi.
Then, Sungkyunkwan University Professor Kim Deok-joon gave a presentation on solid electrolytes and POSTECH Professor Park Soo-jin gave a research presentation on electrode coating.
On this day, more than 100 professors and students attended and were attracted to high interest and discussions on polymer materials for secondary batteries continued through Q&A.
The Polymer Society announced that it plans to hold special session for the Toray Polymer Prize at the annual spring conference.
The Toray Polymer Award was established in 2012 by Toray Advanced Materials Korea together with the Korean Polymer Society, and annually selects and awards outstanding researchers in the field of polymer science and technology.
