Recognized for excellent Research, the Winner of Toray Polymer Award for 2022
Professor Young-Kwan Lee of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University was selected as a Winner of the 11th Toray Polymer Award, which was established for the development of Korean Polymer Science.
Along wiith Autumn Conference of the Korean Polymer Association at Daegu Convention Center on the October 6th, the executive director of the Future Value Promotion Office, Don-Ho Chung attended the ceremony and delivered a congratulation message.
Professor Lee graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering and also earned the Masters and Ph.D Degrees in Polymer Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi.
He was honored with the award for his outstanding researches for manufacturing of conductive polymer polypyrrol nanostructures in Zn metal, developing of an electrochemical biosensor using ssDNA ammeter as a sensing material, and producing of an integrated polymer actuator.
Professor Lee said it’s honorable to be recognized for his research, showing his willingness to achieve more meaningful outcomes in the fields of Polymer Science.
Polymer Award was established in 2012 by Toray Advanced Materials Korea (TAK) with the Korean Polymer Association and is awarded annually by selecting the most excellent researchers in polymer science and technology.
