The signboard hanging ceremony to celebrate the launch of Korea Toray Science Foundation and the first BOD meeting were held in front of the office of the foundation on February 7.

Seven directors of the foundation, including Mr. Lee Yeong-gwan, chairman of the board of directors, secretary-general Lee Seung-hoon, and presidents and 30 or so employees of Toray Advanced Materials and Toray Chemical Korea attended the ceremony.

Mr. Lee said in his congratulatory message that he is pleased to establish the foundation on the 55th anniversary of Toray’s advance into the Korean market, and he would do his best to help the foundation grow further.

Following the signboard hanging ceremony, the foundation held the first BOD meeting and approved the business plan for 2018. According to the approved business plan, the foundation will carry out various projects that will contribute to promoting the science and technology in Korea and fostering next-generation science and engineering manpower, e.g.
