TAK contributed of 300 million won to overcome the COVID-19
To prevent COVID-19, Toray Advanced Materials Korea Inc, donated 300 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.
"As the entire nation is having a hard time, we will actively strive to overcome the crisis and prevent the spread of the disease," said Jeon Hae-sang, CEO of the company.
"We hope that this will be of some help to those in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province as a company with operations in North Gyeongsang Province."
Jeon has internally emphasized hygiene and safety priorities, including strengthening quarantine at workplaces, implementing telecommuting and flexible work systems, and social distance placement.
It also said that as a company that produces electrostatic Melt Blown filters, which are key materials of masks undergoing shortages, it believes that doing its best to stabilize supply and demand is a small way to help overcome them.
Meanwhile, the donations will be used for medical personnel who are struggling to prevent the spread of infections in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, where the damage is large, and support quarantine and relief-related items such as masks and daily necessities.
